  General Features

SATELLINE-M3 consists of a data modem and a UHF (370-470 MHz) or VHF (138-174 / 218/238 MHz) or Pan European Standard (869 MHz) radio transceiver. 

It provides a wireless, transparent and half-duplex serial data link with other similar radio modules or compatible SATELLINE radio modems manufactured by SATEL Oy.

 SATELLINE-3ASm is designed for integration into the terminal equipment. The modem and transceiver electronics are enclosed in a steel housing. All the applicable radio, EMC and electrical safety requirements are met without any additional casing.

 The functionality as well as the RF and the electrical performance of the SATELLINE-3ASm is identical to the standard SATELLINE-3AS and SATELLINE EPIC radio modems. However the choice of frequency may influence the functionality as different regulations apply.

The M3 VHF version has a remotely adjustable radio transciever module controlled through the Master Station by the dedicated SATEL NMS software which not only handles standard communication functionality, but gives diagnostic and operating status information and accumulates historical network status information.
